Gelli Hir Farm
Based on Gower, this is where my workshop is located! The farm is over 600 years old and used to have the old Gower road run through the middle of it.
The farm has pockets of woodland surrounding it which make a great supply for truly local wood. Most of the timber is small diameter so I tend to only source Coppice wood from here.
There is a public footpath which has a delightful walk through the ajoining Wildlife Trust woodland of Gelli Hir. There are lakes and bluebells which all add to a great walk, especially in springtime.
Please be aware the public footpath runs alonside the farm but not through it.
The name Gelli Hir translates to Long Grove. This little valley has lots of historical interest and amazingly several springs which flow with water sourced all the way, underground from Brecon!
