About the Craftsman
Scott has always had an interest in his natural surroundings, running barefoot as a child and now living outside as much as possible. His background in anthropology and experience of world travel combine with his love for trees and wood. These influences are manifest in his green woodwork craftmanship. Scott's lifestyle and livelihood create an earthy, elegant product that is truly local and sustainable.
Being startled into awareness of how mankind is rapidly destroying its planet and cultural conditions, and through completing an anthroplology degree in 2005, this has helped Scott crystalise the need for people to find meaningfull, lasting relationships between one another and our wholesome earth.
His creative and colourful approach to life keep him constantly engaged and joyful. Amoungst the many many interests he has he is a passionate surfer and sea lover, loves getting his hands in the veg garden with permaculture principles and spending quality time with the family.
He is also a founding member of Coeden Fach (Swanea community tree nursry). Involved with like minded people this community group are facilitating growing trees, sustainable education through forest gardening and permaculture. For more information check out - coedenfach.wetpaint.com
Through working, volenteering and socialising with a wide range of people from different cultures and social backgrounds Scott is a good communicator and has a broad perspective of life.
As Scott has a great sympathy for trees and wood as a material, his talent and skills lend himself to a green wood craftsman. As he supports his family, and tries to improve how we live on this earth, it seems a natural progression to evolve these interests and passions into Dragonfly Creations.
