Turned candle holders.

Selecting wood types for thier beauty these simple and elegant candle holders are turned on the pole lathe. As the wood is turned wet (green), when it dries, the wood often distorts to wonderful organic oval and egg shapes. This feature is a natural process and in my view impossible for man to re-create.

Below are some lengthy blackthorn sticks. The wood was seasoned in darkness helping to retain the striking flaming red and purple colours in the wood.
